Crimestoppers is appealing for critical information that could assist the investigation into the murder of Jesbir Singh Khela, known as Jessy, who was found dead in a burnt-out car in Langford, Bedfordshire.

His body was discovered on 6th February 2025 in the driver’s seat of a deliberately torched Skoda Octavia in a remote field.

Jessy’s shocking death has devastated his family, friends, and community in Letchworth, where the 47-year-old lived.

In an effort to gather vital leads, Crimestoppers has announced a £20,000 reward for any information provided directly and anonymously to the charity that leads to an arrest of those responsible for Jessy's death.

Annabelle Goodenough, South East Regional Manager at Crimestoppers, described the murder as a "shocking and senseless crime."

“Someone out there knows who was involved and what happened that day,” Annabelle Goodenough said.

Understanding that individuals may feel apprehensive about contacting the police, Crimestoppers emphasizes its commitment to maintaining anonymity for those providing information.

Various measures ensure anonymity, including non-recording of calls, absence of caller ID, and not tracing IP addresses.

Crimestoppers also highlighted the process for claiming the reward without breaching anonymity.

Information must be offered directly to Crimestoppers and not the police to qualify for the reward.

Callers should request a reward code when contacting via 0800 555 111, or use the ‘Keep in Contact’ portal on the online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org to receive a reward code in the initial message.

The reward is available for three months, expiring on 6th May 2026.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers anonymously by completing the online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org or calling 0800 555 111 at any time.
