Murder investigation underway after stabbing death in Bletchley
Thames Valley Police arrest three in connection with Milton Keynes incident
Thames Valley Police's Major Crime Unit has initiated a murder investigation following the death of a 26-year-old man in Bletchley.
Police responded to reports of a stabbing on Brooklands Road at approximately 11.20pm on 30th July.
Despite life-saving efforts by emergency workers, the man tragically died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained family liaison officers.
While the victim has not yet been formally identified, the coroner has been notified.
Police advise against speculation to prevent additional distress to his family.
Three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of murder: a 16-year-old boy and 25-year-old man from Milton Keynes, along with a 36-year-old man from Aylesbury, all currently in custody.
Detective Superintendent Jon Capps stated: “We have launched a murder investigation after the tragic death of a young man in Milton Keynes last night in a suspected stabbing."
While greater police presence is expected as enquiries continue, authorities do not perceive a threat to the wider public at this time.
Milton Keynes commander Chief Superintendent Emma Baillie assured the community of ongoing efforts to address violence and commented on the speculation around the incident, emphasizing that it is not believed to be racially motivated.
