Fourth arrest over Bletchley murder
Man detained in Milton Keynes over stabbing of Mohammed Tanveerul Islam last Thursday (30th July)
A 27-year-old man from Milton Keynes has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of Mohammed Tanveerul Islam in Bletchley.
The man was taken into custody yesterday evening following investigations by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit.
The stabbing took place on Brooklands Road on Thursday night, 30th July.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, Head of the Major Crime Unit, praised the work of the investigative team.
Brown said: “Following the incredible work of our large investigative team, we have identified and arrested a man in connection with the tragic murder of Mohammed Tanveerul Islam in Bletchley last week.
“We understand this murder has been upsetting for the community but our priority remains protecting them which is reflected in this further arrest. We continue to work tirelessly on this complex investigation.”
Three other people have previously been arrested but were released with no further action.
