A man is in hospital in a serious condition after being found with head and facial injuries in Aylesbury.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which happened in the early hours of Wednesday (22 April), between Lower Road and Churchill Avenue, near Stoke Mandeville hospital.
The injured man is described as Asian, in his 40s, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build with dark brown hair and a full beard.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket with a hood, a royal blue T-shirt, light washed jeans, and light grey/white trainers.
Enquiries are ongoing, and police say it remains unclear how the man sustained his injuries, but believe it may have been as a result of an assault.
Thames Valley Police are asking anyone who may have seen the man or any drivers on Mandeville Road during that period to come forward.
The police are particularly interested in speaking with private hire vehicle drivers who may have passed the area at that time.
