A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm in a public place after armed police responded to reports of a man carrying a rifle in Chesham.
Officers attended the scene on Sunnyside Road at around 7.45pm yesterday evening.
Police confirmed that they carried out an 'armed deployment' outside the property and the incident has been resolved.
The man remains in custody as investigations continue.
Police are reassuring the community that there is no threat to the wider public and thanked residents for their assistance and support.
