Thames Valley Police have initiated a public appeal to find Jason McDonagh, a 34-year-old who absconded from HMP Springhill on 23rd June last year.

Although previous appeals were made to trace McDonagh, alongside two other offenders—Daniel Hardy and Barney Casey—whom authorities successfully returned to custody, McDonagh remains at large.

Described as a white man, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build, with ginger hair and facial hair, McDonagh was last seen wearing grey tracksuit trousers and a white vest.

He is known to visit numerous locations including Bristol, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Leeds, Bradford, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.

Police staff investigator Claire Busby is urging the public for information regarding McDonagh’s whereabouts.

She advises: “We are appealing to the public for any information around McDonagh’s whereabouts, or anyone who may see him to get in touch."

Members of the public are cautioned against approaching McDonagh but should instead call 999 if seen.

Information on McDonagh's location can be reported online or via 101, quoting 43250312586.

For those preferring anonymity, contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 is also an option.
