Appeal following Luton collision that has left three men seriously injured
One man's injuries are described as potentially life-changing
Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Luton which has left three people seriously injured.
The incident happened in Luton town centre in the early hours of Saturday morning (4 April), shortly after 1:45am on Manchester Street.
A silver Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision with a large wooden planter in the pedestrianised area which subsequently caused injury to the three men.
One man's injuries are described to be potentially life-changing.
Two men fled the vehicle and left the scene.
A 19-year-old man has since been arrested and charged with several driving offences and was remanded into custody before appearing in court yesterday (Tuesday 7 April).
Sergeant Dan Cook, from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said, “This was a dreadful incident which has left one man with potentially life-changing injuries and two others seriously injured."
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward in order to support their investigation.
