Appeal for witnesses after serious crash near Newport Pagnell
The driver reportedly fled the scene following a collision involving two cars
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a serious collision near the top of the A509 Chicheley Hill from Newport Pagnell.
The crash occurred just before 10pm on Wednesday, involving a grey Peugeot 3008 and a red Toyota Auris.
The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 40s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The driver of the Peugeot reportedly fled the scene on foot following the collision. He has been described as a 6ft-tall man wearing dark clothing.
Police request dash-cam footage
Investigating officer PC Richard Minney from the Roads Policing Unit has urged anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the man leaving the scene to come forward.
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision or saw the man described leaving the scene to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police,” PC Minney said.
"If you were driving on Chichley Hill and saw anything or have dash-cam footage, please contact us."
