Appeal following fatal collision on Luton-Dunstable Busway

A man in his twenties has died following an alleged collision with a guided bus

Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the Luton-Dunstable Busway.

Police were called to reports of a man injured on the guided Busway in Telford Way, Luton at around 1:18am today (Wednesday 18 March).

The victim, a man in his twenties, is believed to have been involved in a collision with a guided bus.

He was later pronounced dead.

Detective Sergeant Shona Searle, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, investigating, said:

“This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“It is crucial that we establish the circumstances that led to what we believe was a collision between a guided bus and the victim.

"We are appealing to anyone who was travelling along Telford Way, Hatters Way or Dunstable Road near the Birdcage roundabout between 12.50am and 1.15am and may have witnessed the events leading up to the incident or captured any dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
