17 year old charged with possession of knife, appears at St Albans Youth Court

A 17 year old boy from London has been charged after being seen with a knife near Potters Bar train station

Police were called by members of the public, and officers arrested the teenager in Mutton Lane

He appeared at St Albans Youth Court yesterday.

PC Mahammad Rahman, from the Potters Bar and Shenley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“We’d like to thank the vigilant members of the public who did the right thing by calling us straight away. We take reports of knives extremely seriously and thanks to their quick response, we were able to get to the scene and quickly apprehend the suspect.”
