Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance charity says it's giving more care to people at the scene than ever before.

The charity, which is based in Semington, has attended almost 595 mission during the first half of 2026, with February being it's busiest ever. It saw over 100 call-outs responded to.

As demand grows, so is the ability to administer life-saving care, with 65% of missions now including a critical care doctor, meaning more advanced procedures can be made before a patient is moved to hospital.

Chief executive, Barbara Gray, explained: “We are incredibly proud to provide lifesaving critical care to people across our community, 365 days a year.

"Behind every number is a real person, along with their family, friends and loved ones. With our busiest February on record, these figures highlight just how vital our service is. As a charity, we are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us so far this year.

"Together, we are helping to save lives.”

The charity relies solely on public donations and has to raise over £5 million per year to perform its service.
