Park & Ride services in Bath extended with new funding
Routes will run until 11.30pm
Residents of Bath & North East Somerset will see improvements in evening travel as new funding has been secured to extend Park & Ride bus services later into the night.
The funding comes from the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority and aims to enhance the region's bus services by extending operating hours across Bath's Park & Ride network.
The routes servicing Newbridge, Lansdown, and Odd Down will continue operations until 11.30pm from Monday to Saturday, with services available until 6pm on Sundays and public holidays.
Councillor Manda Rigby commented on the initiative, noting its potential impact on reducing congestion and improving air quality while offering more convenient public transport options.
Helen Godwin, Mayor of the West of England, announced the development and emphasised the importance of boosting sustainable travel options in and around Bath.
The extended hours will also support local cultural events, such as the Roman Baths Summer Lates series running from 20th July to 31st August.
