Children and staff at Chew Stoke Church School in Bristol were treated to a memorable visit from Lando Norris, the current F1 World Champion.

Norris, from Glastonbury, was warmly welcomed by the entire school community, including parents, past pupils, and colleagues, who greeted him with cheers and flag waving.

After arriving, he was met by the senior leadership team, along with two Year 6 pupils, for a series of photos before taking part in a whole school assembly.

During the assembly, Norris spoke about his motivations, perseverance, and the importance of determination in achieving goals.

Students had the opportunity to ask him questions, and the school presented him with a few gifts, including a branded mug and tea towel.

Two past pupils also awarded Norris a special membership to the Chew Stoke alumni, while current students Annie and Toby recited poems about his journey.

After the assembly, Norris visited every classroom, answering questions, signing items, and even joining in Hedgehog Scooter races. He generously left each pupil with a gift, which was distributed the following day.

The school expressed its gratitude for the inspirational visit, which they said has motivated students to aim high and pursue their dreams.
