Three people to appear in court after Ayrshire drugs busts

A cannabis farm and a cocaine recovery were carried out by police in Ayrshire on Tuesday

Three people in Ayrshire have been charged after police raided two properties on Tuesday.

Police discovered a cannabis farm at a property in the Misk Knowes area of Stevenston, worth as much as £120,000.

A 24 year old man is set to appear in court on Wednesday 14 May, charged in connection.

Around £4,000 worth of cocaine was also recovered at a property in Byrehill Place in Kilwinning, a 42 year old man and a 38 year old woman are expected to appear in court at a later date in connection.

The two recoveries are not linked.

Detective Inspector Jamie Carruth said: “These seizures highlight our ongoing efforts to disrupt drug supply and protect those in our communities affected by illegal drugs.

“The operations underline our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

"We work every day to protect the public by preventing drugs being circulated on our streets.
