£1.7m of cannabis recovered in Aberdeen police raids
Seven men arrested and charged
Seven men have been arrested and charged after drugs with an estimated street value of over £1,700,000 were recovered in Aberdeen.
On Friday 22nd August officers raided a premises on Dee Street. A cannabis cultivation worth £1,304,000 was discovered.
Four men, aged 30, 35, 35, and 40, were arrested and charged in. They were due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, 25th August.
On Monday 25th August another raid took place in Union Street. A cannabis cultivation worth £419,000 was recovered.
Three men, aged 21, 35 and 36, were arrested and charged in connection and are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 26th August..
Detective Inspector Andrew Machray said: “These significant recoveries highlight our commitment to disrupting drug-related crime in our communities. It also reinforces our ongoing commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
