Police investigation into Taylor Charlton’s disappearance continues

A 20-year-old man has been released on police bail following his arrest on suspicion of murder in connection with the disappearance of Taylor Charlton from Barnstaple.
The 15-year-old was last seen on the evening of 8th May near a footpath close to Tarka leisure centre, heading in the direction of the River Taw.
Despite an extensive police search over the past five weeks, Taylor remains missing, prompting further inquiries into his whereabouts and safety.
Detective Inspector Charlotte Heath stated that new information suggested potential harm to Taylor, underscoring the investigation’s ongoing nature.
The suspect, detained in North Devon, will remain on bail until September as authorities pursue additional leads.
Taylor is described as 5ft 8ins tall, of muscular build, with dark brown hair and a moustache. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a bright blue fitted top, jeans, and bright blue Nike shoes.
Taylor's parents, Zoe and Alex, have publicly appealed for his safe return, urging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to share information.
Inspector Heath reiterated that their thoughts remain with Taylor’s family and friends, emphasizing a commitment to exhaust all possible leads in the effort to find him.
The investigation continues as the community hopes for Taylor's return and supports the police in their search efforts.
