Man arrested following death of 82-year-old man in Camden

Officers arrived at a house in West End Lane, NW6, responding to welfare concerns at 11:25 am on Thursday, 5th March.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service confirmed upon arrival that the man had died.

Police arrested a 53-year-old suspect inside the property shortly after arriving on the scene.

The arrested man remains in custody on suspicion of murder as officers work to identify and inform the victim's next of kin.

Investigation and Community Impact

Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who oversees policing in the area, said:

“A team of detectives are working quickly to establish the full picture surrounding this man’s death.

“At this time, officers are treating this as an isolated incident with no risk to the wider community."
