A man has been charged in connection with the discovery of an estimated £4Million worth of suspected cannabis in a lorry at Larne Harbour.

The vehicle, which was travelling from Scotland, was stopped and searched yesterday as part of a joint investigation by the PSNI and An Garda Síochána.

The 53 year old is due in court in Ballymena later charged with possession of a Class B controlled drug, and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

He’s also charged with having no driving licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
