First look released for Celebrity Race Across The World series 4
The show will return later this month!
Last updated 20th Oct 2026
With three series of the celebrity edition of Race Across The World proving a great success, the BBC confirmed earlier this year that Celebrity Race Across The World would be returning for a fourth instalment. Once again we'll get to see a group of famous faces attempt to travel with no phones, limited money and zero flights.
After the BBC teased the line-up at the end of September, by sharing some photos of the celebs photobombed by wild animals, they later confirmed the celebs and revealed when the new series will begin. Now as the start date approaches, the BBC have released more photos giving fans the first look at episode one of the new series.
Who is taking part in Celebrity Race Across The World?
It was confirmed by the BBC in early October that 'Space Man' singer Sam Ryder had signed-up for the adventure show, as well as hit maker Ella Eyre, TV personalities Junior and Princess Andre, and TV pundit Jeff Stelling.
Sam will take part alongside his tour manager Kaz, whilst Jeff will travel alongside his son Matt. Siblings Junior and Princess will also work together. And Ella will be joined by her childhood friend Nana.
News of Junior and Princess' involvement was first rumoured back in February, with a TV source saying at the time: “Princess and Junior have proven themselves to be well-mannered, hardworking kids and opportunities continue to come their way. Execs were impressed with the ratings for The Princess Diaries but also how they came across.
“They’re brilliant signings for Celeb Race as they bring with them a younger audience."
Although they didn't confirm anything, during an interview with Hits Radio Breakfast's Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr in July 2026, the pair did say: "Celebrity Race Across The World would be sick to do."
When does it start?
In October, the BBC confirmed series four will begin on Wednesday 28th October, with weekly episodes on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

What is the route?
The 7,500 km journey will start in Kuching, in the Malaysian state of Sarawak in North West Borneo, ending on the sunbaked southern tip of Australia and the finish line in Melbourne.
For series three in 2025, teams started their journey on the idyllic Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres, before travelling 5,900km to reach the finish line in the remote and breathtaking PenÃnsula de La Guajira in Colombia – the gateway to South America.
