It's been more than 18 years since James Brown passed away at the age of 73, but that hasn't stopped the popularity of his music. The singer who released hits such as 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' and 'Living In America', will have his songs performed by a nine-piece funk orchestra, while on a UK tour later this year.

The band, who has toured with artists such as Jamiroquai, Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse and Martha Reeves, will bring James' music to life for fans across the UK.

This production sees The James Brown Family Foundation and The James Brown Experience unit for the immersive concert experience, starting in Carlisle on 26th September, before travelling across Scotland, England and Wales, ending in Swansea on 22nd October.

Speaking about the tour, The James Brown Family Foundation said: "This production not only honours James Brown’s extraordinary musical legacy, but it also reflects his creativity, hard work and passion. We are thrilled to see this show bring his legacy and sound to new audiences."

A description of the show reads: 'Featuring high-octane dance numbers, heart-wrenching ballads and timeless classics, it celebrates the legacy that continues to inspire generations of musicians and activists.'
