A man is missing after reportedly going into the water from a sailing boat in Arne Bay between 8pm and 9pm on 29th May.

The incident was reported to Dorset Police on 31st May at 6.56pm, prompting an investigation into the man’s disappearance and the delayed report.

Search operations are underway to locate the man, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

As part of the investigation, three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The men include a 46-year-old from Poole, a 31-year-old with no fixed abode, and a 22-year-old from Essex.

They remain in police custody to assist in gathering information and to ensure legal protection during the ongoing enquiries.

Police are urging the public not to speculate as they work to piece together the circumstances of the man’s disappearance.
