Poole man named after fatal skydive in Devon

Family pays tribute to 49-year-old Chas McNeil

A Poole man has been identified following a fatal skydiving incident at Dunkeswell Aerodrome in Devon.

Chas McNeil, 49, died on Saturday 28th February after emergency services were called just before 1pm due to concerns for his welfare.

McNeil was confirmed deceased at the scene.

His family has requested privacy during this time.

Authorities including police, British Skydiving, and the East Devon District Council Environmental Health and Safety Office continue to investigate.

“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr McNeil” said the emergency service teams involved.
