Oxfordshire's Major Crime Unit has formally identified the victim in a murder investigation in Abingdon.
Jill Gant, an 88-year-old resident of Appleford Drive, Abingdon, has been named as the victim by Thames Valley Police following the tragic incident.
The investigation commenced after officers attended an address on Appleford Drive at approximately 2.20 pm on Thursday, 10th September.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin, leading the investigation, expressed condolences to Jill's family, urging respect for their privacy during this challenging time.
