Further arrest in investigation into attacks linked to Jewish community
A man from Devon is being held at a police station in London.
Officers investigating a series of attacks on premises linked to the Jewish community in north west London, and other related incidents, have made a further arrest.
A 37-year-old man was arrested by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing near Barnstaple in Devon on Sunday, April 26th.
He was arrested on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts and has been taken to a London police station for questioning.
The arrest is part of an ongoing CTP London investigation into a series of attacks on premises linked to the Jewish community in north west London, an attack on a Persian-language media organisation and the discovery of jars of a non-hazardous substance in Kensington Gardens.
Wider investigation
CTP officers continue to work closely with Met Police colleagues in response to the series of arson incidents, which includes specialist officers providing protective security advice and support to a large number of organisations, community venues and businesses.
26 arrests
Since the attack on the Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green on 23 March, CTP officers have now arrested a total of 26 people.
Eight people have been charged with arson-related offences and one person has been convicted of arson.
