A search is underway to find a monkey who has escaped from the Highland Wildlife Park.
Japanese Macaque Luka went missing overnight and was last seen in the Balavil area.
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) who run the park say teams are working away to return him safely.
Head of animal care at RZSS, Darren McGarry, said: “We are doing everything we can to locate the macaque using a variety of techniques in the local area including a thermal imaging drone.
“Primate group dynamics can be very complex and males being forced out of a group is not uncommon.
“Although the macaque is not dangerous, our advice is members of the public should not approach him and to contact 07769165117 with any details of a sighting.”
This is not the first time a monkey has escaped from the Highland Wildlife Park, in 2024 Honshu the Japanese Macaque went missing for several days.
He was eventually found and later returned to the park before moving to Edinburgh Zoo.
