Man charged with New Years Day murder in Leeds

Detectives investigating the death of a man in Leeds on New Years Day have charged a man with murder.

Dwayne Tuohey, 55, was attacked outside Gargrave Court in Burmantofts on 1 January and found lying on the floor with serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital, where he died a short time later.

Scott Silkstone, aged 51 of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder.

Silkstone has been remanded into custody to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today (3 January).

A man and woman, aged 42, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They’ve both been released without charge.
