A drug dealer has been sentenced to 30 years imprisonment after murdering a man at his home in Southampton.

Marcin Buryta shot Piotr Pruszak just before 8pm on 11th February, and police say he calmly phoned them saying he'd shot someone at his home in Conifer Road, Southampton.

The 32-year-old used a Glock pistol, parts of which had been 3D printed, and he had a number of weapons which included two more firearms, a loaded crossbow, a machete, a dagger, knives, and knuckle dusters.

Piotr Pruszak, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene just before 8:45pm, despite receiving aid from paramedics and officers.

Buryta continued to send and receive messages relating to the prices of drugs including cocaine and ketamine following the shooting.

He was found guilty of murder, and as part of this case, had previously admitted two charges of possessing a firearm, and one count of possessing ammunition with intent.

He told the court he was keeping weapons at his address for his protection and claimed he had acted out of fear for his life on the night Mr Pruszak was killed.

During the trial, it was also heard that Buryta was convicted of killing a man in his native Poland when he was 19.

It was heard he had stabbed a man while at a friend's birthday party, subsequently being convicted of causing grievous bodily harm resulting in death.
