Dave Challinor announced as new Sheffield Wednesday manager
He will take over officially on Monday
Sheffield Wednesday have announced Dave Challinor as their new manager.
He will be present for the game today against Blackpool and will then be introduced to fans on Monday.
Challinor made his name as a manager in Non-League and has gained promotion with the four clubs he had managed so far.
He started at Colwyn Bay after finishing his playing career there, before spells at AFC Fylde and Stockport County.
Last season he reached the League One play-off final losing to Bolton Wanderers before leaving County.
Wednesday find themselves just seven points off an automatic promotion place in League One, with games in hand on most of the teams above.
