Man and woman arrested in connection with Conlig stabbing
A man sustained a number of stab wounds on Tuesday
Two people are being questioned in connection with a stabbing in County Down earlier this week.
A man was stabbed a number of times at a property in Breezemount Close in Conlig on Tuesday.
A 34-year-old woman and 38-year old man remain in custody.
Detective Sergeant Cargin said: "Our investigation into the incident, in which a man sustained a number of stab wounds at a property in the Breezemount Close area of Conlig last Tuesday, has been progressing rapidly and has now resulted in the arrest of a 38 year old man on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and a 34 year old woman on suspicion of assisting offenders. "Both were arrested at an address in Bangor on Friday 10th January and currently remain in police custody.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone with information that could assist us to phone 101 quoting reference number 182 07/01/25.
