Suspected firearms found by PSNI in Londonderry

Two suspected firearms have been found by police in Londonderry during searches.

The discoveries were made in the Currynierin and Creggan.

The PSNI in Derry says inquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson said: "Firearms are extremely dangerous and present a serious risk.

"Removing them from communities will remain a priority.

"I want to thank the local community for their patience while officers conducted these searches."
