Residents in Belfast evacuated during security alert
It's following the discovery of a suspicious object in the Bentham Drive area of south Belfast.

Residents in south Belfast were evacuated from their homes following a security alert in the Bentham Drive area on Saturday.
A PSNI statement from Saturday 6th September reads: "Police are currently in attendance in the Bentham Drive area of south Belfast following the discovery of a suspicious object.
Cordons are in place and a number of nearby properties have been evacuated.
An update will be issued in due course."
The security alert is now over (Sunday 7th) and one man has been arrested.
Residents in the Bentham Drive area have returned to their homes after being evacuated following the discovery of a number of suspicious objects.
They have been removed for further examination.
On Sunday afternoon, police investigating the case charged a man to court.
The 46-year-old is charged with making explosives under suspicious circumstances, possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances, possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances, possessing ammunition in suspicious circumstance and possessing Class A, B and C controlled drugs.
He is due before Belfast Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday 8th.)
Detective Inspector Alexander said: "Residents who were evacuated from their homes have been allowed to return, and we are grateful for their cooperation and patience while we made the area safe.
“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1768 of 5/9/25.
