After months of anticipation, Sephora UK finally opened its doors in Belfast earlier today (Thursday 12th February).

The iconic beauty retailer’s latest store, located in Victoria Square in the heart of the city, is the first opening of 2026, and its 13th UK store to date.

The brand’s landmark Belfast debut marks Sephora UK’s arrival on the island of Ireland, bringing a 2,550 sq ft beauty playground to the heart of Belfast's bustling main shopping district.

The Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Tracy Kelly, local business leaders and popular content creators including Annalivia McGivern and Billykiss Azeez and Kayleigh Trappe were amongst the first to preview the new store ahead of the ribbon cut that took place this afternoon.

Cool FM's very own Rebecca Mckinney kept the atmosphere high for those queuing, whilst ONAI, one of the UK and Ireland’s most sought after DJs, headlined the grand opening moment, keeping the eagerly awaiting customers entertained.

Local community favourite, Neighbourhood cafe, kept excited customers caffeinated and local treats including Fifteens by Dougie’s Goodies, Yellowman honeycomb by Aunt Sandra’s Candy Shop and Tayto crisps were handed out to snack on. The energy of the grand opening will continue through the weekend with local DJs, sampling, and giveaways planned through to Sunday.

With the store arriving just in time to help with any last-minute Valentine’s Day shoppers, customers are also encouraged to come ‘Together in Beauty’ and partake in the fun with one of the many interactive experiences on offer over the weekend.

Customers can spread the love by sharing a note – whether it’s to yourself, a loved one, your best friend or a positive affirmation to a stranger – with Sephora’s Love Totems stationed outside of the store, encouraging customers to take a moment to share something positive this Valentine’s (or galantine’s!) Day.

Sarah Boyd, Managing Director, Sephora UK, said: “We’re so excited to kick off what is promising to be a busy 2026 of store openings for Sephora UK, here in Belfast’s Victoria Square. We know the Belfast community have been shopping with us since we launched our .co.uk so we’re excited to finally bring some of their favourite brands to an in-store setting for the first time.

“This Valentine’s Day weekend everyone is welcome to join us ‘Together in Beauty’ whether you’re shopping for a last minute gift, or purely want to come down to experience the energy of our grand opening weekend.”
