A security alert is under way in north Belfast.

Police are currently at the scene and are warning people to say away from the Cavehill area on the Antrim Road.

Our Chief Reporter James Gould understands the alert is focused close to Belfast Castle.

A PSNI security cordon has been in place at the entrance to the country park on the Antrim Road entrance..

The entrance to Belfast Castle has also been closed.
