A number of suspicious devices have been found during two separate security alerts on Friday.
Residents were evacuated from their homes in Edwina Street on the Shankill Road in north Belfast, as well as Greystone Crescent in Dervock, near Ballymoney.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested for offences under the Terrorism Act, in connection with the north Belfast alert.
Police say investigations are continuing.
