Rooms ransacked in Belfast house burglary

A sum of cash, passport and handbag have been stolen in an east Belfast burglary.

It was reported to police it happened in the Willowholme Street area sometime between 7 o'clock and 11:20 on Monday night.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Entry was gained to the property, and all the rooms ransacked.

“A sum of cash, a passport, and a handbag were also taken.

“An investigation is underway, and we are appealing to anyone with any information which might assist us to get in touch."
