Four vehicles completely destroyed following arson in Newry
Police are appealing for information.
Four vehicles have been completely destroyed and another has been damaged following a reported arson in Newry.
Police say it happened at around 3 o'clock this morning (Saturday 17th) at a business yard in the Chancellors Road area.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Recue Service attended to extinguish the fires.
Sergeant Cushley said: “It was reported at around 3.00am that five vehicles parked in the Chancellors Road area of Newry had been set on fire. Our colleagues from the NIFRS attended and extinguished the fires.
“Four vehicles have been completely destroyed as a result with a fifth vehicle partially damaged, which has been determined as deliberate.
“Our enquires are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who might have been in the area around 2.50 am this morning.
"We'd be particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam or other footage.
"The number to call is 101, quoting reference 186 of 17/05/25."
