A man has died following a traffic collision in Magherafelt.
Police received a report of the crash Thursday evening in the Grange Road area. The pedestrian aged sixty nine was pronounced dead at the scene.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police received a report shortly after 5.50pm of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in the Grange Road area.
“Our officers attended, supported by colleagues from partner emergency services. However, sadly, the pedestrian - a man aged 69 - was confirmed deceased at the scene.
"The Grange Road was closed for some time but has since reopened.
“Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may hold digital footage which could assist with our enquiries."
