More than €900,000 in contraband seized in Donegal

More than €900,000 worth of contraband has been seized in County Donegal.

The joint-agency search happened at a home in Burnfoot by revenue officers and Gardaí discovered €410,000 in cash, €530,000 cigarettes, 12.4 kilos of rolling tobacco on February 12th (Wednesday).

All items were seized by Revenue Customs Service along with two vehicles, a cash counting machine, financial documentation and mobile phones.

Gardaí are investigating suspected money laundering offences.

No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.
