Man and woman released after arrests over Lisa Dorrian disappearance

A man and woman have been released from police custody after being questioned over the disappearance and murder of Bangor woman Lisa Dorrian.

The 25 year old was last seen alive 21 years ago at a party at a caravan park in Ballyhalbert.

Her body has never been found.

The pair were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of offences including murder, and preventing a lawful and decent burial.

A PSNI statement said, “A 40-year-old woman and 42-year-old man arrested by detectives investigating the disappearance and murder of Lisa Dorrian, have both been released on bail pending further enquiries.”

“They were arrested yesterday, Wednesday 25th February, on suspicion of murder, assisting offenders, withholding information and preventing a lawful and decent burial.”

“Detectives remain determined to provide justice for Lisa’s family, and would appeal to anyone with information about her disappearance and murder to contact them on 101.”
