Man due in court following report of Belfast assault

A man is due in court next month following a report of an assault in west Belfast on Friday.

The 29-year old is charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He's also accused of grievous bodily harm and possession of a class C controlled drug.

It follows an incident in the Glenbawn Park area.

He is due to appear in Lisburn Magistrates on Friday, January 9th, 2026.
