Man charged in connection with serious assault in Omagh

An 18 year old man has been charged in connection with an assault in Omagh over the weekend that left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
He's charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and is due in court next month.
The assault happened in the Market Street area in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A previous police statement said officers on patrol came across a man in his 30’s with a number of facial and head injuries at around 1am.
Police say while he was being spoken to, his condition rapidly deteriorated.
Officers carried out CPR before taking the man to hospital.
