Earlier this year, it was revealed that the 70th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest would be celebrated by its first official tour across Europe, however sadly the tour has now been postponed.

After this year's Eurovision Song Contest sold out in record time, thousands of fans across Europe were invited to join celebrations in 10 major European cities, including London.

Has the Eurovision tour been cancelled?

Just two weeks after the iconic acts including Katrina (UK winner) and Lordi (Finnish winner) were announced for the tour, it has been revealed that it will not go ahead, with Eurovision Song Contest releasing a statement, giving further details.

On the Eurovision website, a statement from Martin Green CBE, Director Eurovision Song Contest said: "We regret to announce that we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Eurovision Song Contest Live Tour 2026.

"We have encountered unforeseen challenges that despite the best efforts of our team, the producers, and promoters we have been unable to resolve.

"To the thousands of fans who bought tickets, thank you, we will ensure you will be refunded in full as soon as possible.

"We look forward to relaunching the Live Tour when we can ensure the world class experience that our fans expect.

"Our focus remains on delivering an incredible Eurovision Song Contest in May.

"The 70th anniversary shows will be celebrated with 35 amazing artists performing to record sell-out audiences in Vienna and hundreds of millions watching around the world."

Eurovision Song Contest Live Tour

The live tour was set to feature iconic acts from across the 70 years the competition has been running. Speaking about the tour at the time it was announced, Martin Green CBE, Director of the Eurovision Song Contest, said: "As we celebrate 70 years of the Eurovision Song Contest, we wanted to do something truly unique and special - and the Eurovision Song Contest Live Tour is exactly that.

"This historic first tour captures the evolution of the Contest – from broadcast icon to an immersive live experience – with a format that celebrates our fantastic past whilst looking to the future.

"For the very first time we are bringing the magic of the Eurovision Song Contest live experience directly to fans and their friends and families all over Europe. This is our chance to celebrate the music, the artists, and the community that have made the Eurovision Song Contest what it is for seven remarkable decades."

Only one UK date had been announced in London. It was at The O2 Arena, on Monday 15th June.
