South Belfast: man arrested in connection with sudden death probe

A 32-year-old man has been arrested following the sudden death of a man in south Belfast.

The PSNI say officers responded to reports of a "concern for safety" at an address in the Cromwell Road area yesterday (Wednesday).

A man was taken to hospital by ambulance shortly after 1pm, but later died.

Detective Inspector Jack Kelly said: "A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in custody at this time."

Police say enquiries are ongoing
