Man arrested following attack on woman in Lurgan Park
He's being questioned on suspicion of sexual assault
A man has been arrested and is being questioned on suspicion of sexual assault following an attack on a woman in a park in County Armagh.
The woman had just got back to her car after walking her dogs at Lurgan Park on Tuesday morning, when it's reported she was "grabbed by an unknown man and forcibly groped".
The PSNI say she was then able to fight the attacker off.
Police have upped patrols in the area in recent days following the report.
In an update this morning a police statement said, “A man has been arrested by police investigating an attack on a woman in Lurgan Park on Tuesday 18 November.”
“The 30 year old suspect was detained in the Lurgan area early this morning and is currently in police custody.”
“He will be questioned on suspicion of offences including sexual assault.”
