Armagh City Hotel invests £600,000 in new cocktail bar
The Meridian is creating 8 new jobs
The Armagh City Hotel is celebrating the launch of The Meridian; a new concept cocktail bar inspired by Armagh’s heritage in astronomy, timekeeping, and navigation.
It's due to open this Friday (6th November) following an investment of £600,000 by McKeever hotels which comes as part of a wider £4 million investment programme at the hotel.
The venue, which McKeever Hotels MD Eddie McKeever believes will “set the benchmark for hospitality in the area”, has created 8 new jobs.
The bar has been designed by Belfast-based brand and experience specialists Drinksology, and in collaboration with hospitality expert, Greg Buda, both of whom were central to the success of New York’s celebrated Dead Rabbit in New York.
The hotel also partnered with the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium to ensure the cocktail menu was in keeping with the city’s famous tourist attraction.
