Teen fighting for life after north London shooting
No arrets have been made following the incident near Wembley Stadium.
A teenager is fighting for his life in hospital after a shooting outside a bar in north west London, close to Wembley Stadium.
It happened early on Sunday morning on Atlantic Crescent, just next to the stadium.
A Met police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 05:27hrs on Sunday, 21 September to Atlantic Crescent, Wembley to reports of a shooting outside a bar.
Officers attended and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot injury. He was taken to hospital and is in a life-threatening condition.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries are ongoing."
Chief Superintendent Tony Josephs, from the local policing team in north west London, said : “We recognise the shock and impact this incident will have on the community.
"The investigation is in its very early stages and we are working at pace to establish the full circumstances. There will be an increased police presence in the local area.
"We'd urge anyone who may know something about this incident, however small it may seem, to please get in touch and let us know."
