Iain Packer victim says he has attacked women beyond Scotland
Magdalene Robertson was raped by Packer at 15 and her parents didn't believe her.
The first known victim of serial rapist and killer Iain Packer thinks he'll have attacked women outside Scotland too.
Magdalene Robertson was just 15 when she was raped by him in her own bedroom and her parents never believed her.
"I would get shouted at and asked why I was letting him sit there"
She exclusively told our new Beware Book podcast: "I would wake up and he would be sitting at the bottom of my bed - I couldn't get him out.
"I would get shouted at and asked why I was letting him sit there.
"I'll never understand it."
Packer was convicted of raping Magdalene and a campaign of serious sexual violence against dozens of other women in 2024 as well as the murder of Emma Caldwell in 2005.
Magdalene feels there were times when she hit a brick wall trying to shed light on his crimes.
"I am already in touch with the FBI"
He roamed free for years and spent time in Floria and Spain.
She added: "Serial rapists and sexual offenders don't take a break when they go on holiday.
"If anything, you feel more relaxed about your vices.
"I would love for his parents to tell me where they stayed, I am already in touch with the FBI and have passed over his details.
"I'll hire a private investigator to find out what he's been doing."
New podcast investigates the murders and the list of dangerous men known as the Beware Book
Magdalene's treatment, Emma's murder and the way it was all handled is explored further in the new Beware Book podcast which looks into the murders of women involved in prostitution in Glasgow.
Many of these women were left defenceless in a harsher city than the one we know today - a city grappling with unemployment, crime and the growing grip of heroin.
Distrustful of authorities and fearing for their safety, they turned to each other for protection.
They shared warnings about their most dangerous clients in a tattered leather journal they called the “Beware Book.”
Now, journalists Collette McGonigle and Callum McQuade of Cool FM revisit the cases that devastated families and left lasting scars across the city.
The first three episodes of Beware Book are available on the Rayo app, Apple, Amazon Music, Spotify... or wherever you get your podcasts.
