Twelfth of July 2026: Where to watch parades across Northern Ireland
Hundreds of thousands of Orangemen, band-members and spectators are expected to take to the streets across Northern Ireland for the Twelfth of July celebrations.
As The Twelfth falls on a Sunday this year, the parades will be held on Monday 13th July.
Preparations are underway for local bands across 18 local parades –Aughnacloy, Ballymartin, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Ballywalter, Belfast, Castlederg, Cookstown, Glenarm, Killyleagh, Kilrea, Larne, Limavady, Newtownhamilton, Maguiresbridge, Portglenone, Rathfriland and Royal Hillsborough.
This year, the annual Rossnowlagh procession in Donegal, will be held on Saturday 11th July, upwards of 50 lodges from Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan are expected, as well as visiting Orangemen from Northern Ireland and further afield.

Aughnacloy
The procession will include 25 Lodges and Bands, including 2 Junior Lodges along with the Association of Loyal Orangewomen of Ireland.
The parade will commence at 12:30pm at the Assembly Field on Tullyvar Road.
The parade will arrive at the Demonstration Field on Carnteel Road at 1:15pm.
Parade route Tullyvar Road, Moore Street, Dungannon Road, Carnteel Road.
The return parade will commence at 3:30pm.
Ballymartin
Approximately 1,600 participants will take part in the parade, including 15 local Bands, and an anticipated crowd of over 2,500 spectators.
The parade will commence at 12:30pm from the Assembly Field on Annalong Road, Ballymartin.
The parade will arrive at the Demonstration Field on Main Road at 1pm.
Parade route - Assembly Field, Annalong Road, Main Road, Demonstration Field.
The return parade will commence at 4pm.
Ballymena
30 local Lodges and 17 Bands will parade through the City of the Seven Towers.
The parade will commence at 12:30pm at the Assembly Field on Brooke Park, arriving at the Demonstration Field on Cushendall Road 2:30pm.
Parade route - Assemble at Brooke Park and proceed to Demonstration Field at Cushendall Road via Wakehurst Road, Queen Street, Henry Street, Harryville Bridge, Church Street, Broughshane Street, Chapel Roundabout and Cushendall Road.
The return parade will commence at 4:30pm.
Ballymoney
The North Antrim Combine parade will this year take place in Ballymoney. 5 local District Lodges will be taking part - Ballymoney, Rasharkin, Cloughmills, Bushmills and Ballycastle with a total of 43 Lodges and 22 Bands.
The parade will commence at 1pm from Ballymoney Showgrounds.
Parade route - Charlotte Street, Main Street, Meetinghouse Street, Newal Road, Trinity Drive, John Street, Victoria Street, Linenhall Street, High Street, Model School Road, North Road and returning to Ballymoney Showgrounds.
The return parade will move off at 4:15pm
Ballywalter
This year's North Down parade will be hosted by Upper Ards District LOL No.1 in the seaside town of Ballywalter, which last hosted the Twelfth in 2000.
The platform proceedings and a religious service will be held at 11.30am in the Assembly/Demonstration field on Greyabbey Road ahead of the outward parade which will set off at 12:30pm.
Parade route Greyabbey Road, Main Street, Broadway, Dunover Road, • Westland Road, Stump Road, Main Street, Well Road, Park Avenue, returning to Greyabbey Road.
The return parade will commence at 4:15pm.
Belfast
This year's Belfast Twelfth parade will include over 6,500 participants including 77 bands from across Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The main parade will commence at 10:40am at Donegal Square West.
The parade will arrive at the Demonstration Field at Barnett Demesne, Shawsbridge at 12:45pm.
Parade route – Donegal Square West, Bedford Street, Dublin Road, Shaftesbury Square, Bradbury Place, Lisburn Road, Balmoral Avenue, Malone Road, Barnett Demesne.
The return parade will commence at 4pm.
Castlederg
There will be 6 local Orange Districts taking part in the parade which will be led by Sixmilecross District LOL No.7 accompanied by Brackey Flute Band, followed by Omagh, Killen, Fintona, Strabane and Newtownstewart Districts.
The outward parade will commence at 12:30pm from the Assembly Field located just off the Strabane Road.
Parade route –Strabane Road, Upper Strabane Road, John Street, Main Street and onwards to the Demonstration Field on Castlegore Road where there will be children's entertainment and a Highland Dance display.
The return parade will commence at 4:00pm.
Cookstown
The Orange Districts of Killyman, Stewartstown, Castlecaulfield, Pomeroy, Coagh, Benburb and of course, Cookstown, will this year be parading in 'The Town'.
The parade will commence at 12 noon from the Assembly Field on Grange Road
The procession will arrive at the Demonstration Field on East Circular Road at 2pm.
Parade route - Grange Road, Tullywigan Road, Dungannon Road, Killymoon Street, Church Street, Chapel Street, Loy Street, James Street, William Street, Oldtown Street, Milburn Street, Moneymore Road and East Circular Road.
The return parade will commence at 3:20pm.
Return parade route - East Circular Road, Moneymore Road, Milburn Street, Oldtown Street, Coagh Street, Union Street, Molesworth Street.
Glenarm
The 14 Lodges of Braid District LOL No.18 will be joined by visiting members of Pride of Preston LOL 282 from Lancashire.
A new local ladies Lodge, Braid Valley WLOL 22, will be taking part in their first Twelfth parade since their recent formation. Carnalbana LOL 595 will lead the parade accompanied by Carnalbana Flute Band.
A further 9 bands and 2 teams of Lambeg Drums will also provide musical accompaniment.
The parade will commence at 12 Noon from the Assembly Field at the Cloney. • Parade route - The Cloney, Coast Road, New Road, Coast Road, Mark Street, The Vennel, Atlmore Street, Toberwine Street, Coast Road, Straidkilly Road. The procession will arrive at the Demonstration Field at 2pm.
The return parade will commence at 4pm.
Killyleagh
5 District Lodges will be taking part - Lecale, Saintfield, Castlewellan, Comber, and Ballynahinch, accompanied by 37 bands.
The outward parade will commence at 12Noon from the Assembly Field on Shrigley Road, opposite Killyleagh Primary School.
Parade route - Shrigley Road, Castle Lane, Plantation Street, Catherine Street, Irish Street, Seaview, Shore Street, High Street, Frederick Street, Cross Street and Comber Road.
The parade will arrive at the Demonstration field on the Comber Road at 1pm, with the returning parade commencing at 4pm.
Kilrea
The small market town of Kilrea will welcome 8 local Districts, whose membership includes over 50 private Lodges and Bands.
The parade will commence at 12 Noon from the Assembly Field on Drumagarner Road.
The procession will arrive at the Demonstration Field located behind the livestock market, on the Garvagh Road at 12:45pm.
Parade route - Drumagarner Road, Maghera Street, Old Market Yard, Church Street, War Memorial, Bridge Street, Mill Road, Coleraine Street, Maghera Street, Garvagh Road.
The return parade will commence at 3:30pm.
Larne
9 Districts will be taking part in this year's East Antrim Twelfth parade.
The parade will arrive at the Demonstration Field on Rugby Road at 1pm.
Parade route – Bridge Street, High Street, Upper Main Street, Main Street, Agnew Street, Old Glenarm Road, Herbert Avenue, Greenland Drive, Newington Avenue, Glenarm Road, Curran Road, Bay Road, Chaine Memorial Road, Rugby Road to the Demonstration Field.
The return parade will commence at 4pm
Return route - Bay Park, Curran Road, Main Street, Upper Main Street, High Street, Bridge Street, Station Road, finishing in Circular Road.
Limavady
There will be around 2,000 Orangemen, Ladies and Juniors taking part in this year's Limavady Parade, accompanied by 35 flute, accordion and pipe bands.
The outward parade will commence at 12 Noon from the Assembly Field on Church Street, with the parade arriving at the Demonstration Field on Roemill Road at 12:45pm.
Parade route - Church Street, Ballyclose Street, Main Street, Linenhall Street. Catherine Street, Irish Green Street, Roemill Gardens, Roemill Road, Limavady Orange Field.
The return parade will commence at 3:30pm.
Return parade route - Orange Field, Roemill Road, William Street, Protestant Street, Catherine Street, Linenhall Street, Main Street, Ballyclose Street, Church Street, to buses at Rathmore Road / Scroggy Road.
Newtownhamilton
11 District Lodges will be on parade, with a total of 150 Private Lodges and over 5,000 Brethren; in addition, Lodges from the Association of Loyal Orangewomen of Ireland will take part, along with a number of Junior Boys and Junior Girls Lodges. The Co. Armagh Demonstration can attract upwards of 20,000 spectators.
The parade will commence at 10:30am from the Assembly Field on Newry Road.
Parade route - Assembly Field, Newry Road, Newry Street, Shambles Lane, The Commons, Armagh Street, Castleblayney Street to the Demonstration Field.
Return parade will commence at 3pm.
Maguiresbridge
The County Fermanagh Twelfth will be held in Maguiresbridge and will see 20 Districts, 90 Lodges and around 65 bands take part.
The parade will commence at 12 Noon from the Assembly Field on Gardiners Cross Road.
The parade will arrive at the Demonstration Field on Lisnagole Road Road at 1:30pm.
Parade route – Gardiners Cross Road, Belfast Road, Gardiners Road, Main Street, Lisnagole Road.
The return parade will commence at 3pm.
Portglenone
Lodges from Portglenone, Cullybackey and Ahoghill Districts will this year be on parade in Portglenone.
The parade will commence at 12:30pm at the Assembly area adjacent to Portglenone Free Presbyterian Church on Hiltonstown Road.
The parade will arrive at the Demonstration Field on Gortgole Road at 1:30pm.
Parade route- Hiltonstown Road, Cullybackey Road, Main Street, Bann Bridge, Clady Road, Bann Bridge, Main Street, Gortgole Road.
The return parade will commence at 4pm.
Rathfriland
Approximately 15,000 spectators and participants are expected to attend the Twelfth in Rathfriland this year.
The parade will commence at 12 noon from the Assembly Field on Newry Road.
Parade route - Assembly Field, Newry Lower Church Square, Upper Church Square, Main Street, Downpatrick Street, Castlewellan Road the demonstration Field.
The return parade will commence at 4pm.
Royal Hillsborough
Royal Hillsborough plays host to the South Antrim Combine demonstration this year. Over 60 Lodges from the following Districts will be in attendance - Aghalee, Glenavy, Magheragall, Ballinderry, Derriaghy, Lisburn and Hillsborough, accompanied by a wide selection of Bands.
The parade will commence at 11:30am from the Assembly Field on Culcavy Road.
The procession will arrive at the Demonstration Field at Hillsborough Fort at 12:30pm.
Parade route - Culcavy Road, Lisburn Street, Main Street, Hillsborough Fort.
The return parade will commence at 4pm.
