Three men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following North Belfast assault

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious assault in the New Lodge area of North Belfast
Emergency services were called to a property in the Duncairn Parade area yesterday.
PSNI Inspector Holmes said, “Shortly before six pm today, Monday 20th July, police received a report that a man had been assaulted inside a residential property."
"Three men, one aged in his 30s, and two aged in their 40s, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They remain in police custody, assisting with enquiries."
Sinn Féin councillor JJ Magee said, "There has been a serious incident in the New Lodge this evening.”
"Emergency services are at the scene and I would ask people to avoid the area.”
"My thoughts are with the victim and I would encourage anyone with information to bring it forward to police immediately."
