Results day for GCSE students across NI
Students in NI have again out-performed their counterparts in England and Wales
More than 32,000 students across Northern Ireland have received their GCSE exam results today.
Students here have again outperformed their counterparts in England and Wales, with almost one third (31.7%) of entries getting top A-star and A grades.
Meanwhile 83% of entries got a C or above.
Girls continue to outperform boys, with the gap at the top grade level increasing slightly this year.
Gerry Campbell, Chief Executive of exam board CCEA said,“Congratulations to all the students receiving their GCSE results today. These achievements reflect your hard work, resilience and determination throughout your studies, and you should feel incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished.”
